Kernel Keeper 

The Kernel Keeper uses a simple, yet effective strategy to cushion the blow of corn ears on a deck plate, capture any loose kernels, and then collect those kernels to maximize your profits.

The Kernel Keeper rails reduce shelling by cushioning ears on impact, and the brushes guide loose kernels into the auger bed.

KERNEL LOSS:

Typical losses can range from 1-3 bushels per acre (2-6 kernels per square foot)

At average harvest speeds, 13 ears impact the deck plates every second, and by the time the ear impacts the deck plate it is moving at about 16 ft/second, so there is a lot of energy.
 

CUSHION, CAPTURE, COLLECT:

The dampeners CUSHION the impact of the ear on the deck plate absorbing the energy, resulting in fewer kernels dislodged from the ear.

The rails also CAPTURE any dislodged kernels before they can slide between the deck plates.

The FingerBrushes sweep the captured kernels, COLLECTING into the auger bed and into the combine.
